ANZAC Day Commemorative Services in Geelong - WhatToDo Geelong

We remember the sacrifice of those who fought in the First World War and all wars so that we can enjoy freedom. We also recognise the role of our peacekeeping forces.

There are numerous ANZAC Day services taking place within Geelong and on the Bellarine Peninsula on the morning of ANZAC Day.

Geelong ANZAC Day Commemorative Services

3:30am
The ANZAC projections
will commence at 3.30am on ANZAC Day prior to the Geelong RSL Sub Branch pre-dawn service at 4.15am.

Pre Dawn and Wreath Laying Ceremony
takes place within the Geelong Peace Memorial in Johnstone Park, Geelong.

Lara Dawn Service
the Lara RSL Sub Branch will host a service from around the Lara Cenotaph at 2 Rennie Street

Eastern Beach Dawn Service
Geelong and District Vietnam Veterans Association will host a service on the Geelong Waterfront.

Boer War Memorial Dawn Service
the Kardinia Rotary Club will host a service at the Boer War Memorial located on the corner of Kilgour Street and Latrobe Terrace.

Geelong RSL Wreath Laying Service
at the Geelong RSL War Memorial at 50 Barwon Heads Road, Belmont.

The Norlane RSL March and Commemorative Service
starts within the service lane of Melbourne Road and Sparks Road, Norlane to conclude at the Norlane RSL Sub Branch. A wreath laying ceremony follows at approximately 9:50am.

Geelong March and Commemorative Service
Commencing from the corner of Malop Street and Yarra Street to proceed along Malop Street to conclude in Johnstone Park. A commemorative and wreath laying service follows at approximately.
