Great Australian Beer Festival

The Great Australian Beer Festival returns to Geelong Racecourse on Saturday 17 February 2017.

Spend a summer’s day meandering through Australia’s biggest alfresco craft beer garden.

Indulge in a delightful journey of sipping, sampling and tasting some, or all, of the 200 craft beers and ciders on offer.

To keep your ears happy along with your taste buds, there will be a great line up of performers too.

The day guarantees to open your mind to the many facets of craft beer, with workshops and demonstrations on how to combine beer with food with plenty of tastings on offer.

The best part is that even if beer specifically isn’t your thing, there is still plenty for you – discover a world away from beer where craft beer culture takes a back seat to organic local gourmet foods, great music, vibrant cabaret, indie stalls and groovy art.

• Over 200 boutique beers and ciders including a brand new International beers section.
• Free seminars, many with free tastings and goodies to sample.
• LIVE music all day – listen to a variety of indie, folk, alternative, rock, blues and pop.
• BBQ’s galore! With slow cooked meats, pulled pork, brisket, lamb, ribs, chicken… the list goes on!
• Tastes of the Region from local restaurants and food trucks.
• Watch Australia’s only keg rolling competition on the racetrack… the Kegstar Keg Rolling Challenge.
• Colour aplenty with many dressing up in whacky costume.
• Browse cool exhibits – BEERtography, Sculpture and Homebrewing
• Free entry for kids under 13yo, with free entertainment for children
• Shuttle bus service running throughout the day from South Geelong Railway Station and returning with optional CBD drop off.
• A great crowd of fantastic people. Come as strangers, leave as friends!

The festival runs from 12pm through to 8pm. For more information visit: www.gabfgeelong.com.au
