History Week in Queenscliff

The Queenscliff Historical Museum presents a number of events taking place during History Week throughout the town. Learn all about the history of the town from the Fort to the Cemetery.

A play – ‘Conversations with the La Trobes’ where local actors will re-enact envisaged conversations between the founding father of Queenscliff and his wife Sophie.
Sunday 16 and 23 at Queenscliffe Historical Museum.

A play about Henry Handel Richardson in Queenscliff, a cameo of the imaged life of the now famous Richardson family during the 1970’s when they lived in Queenscliff.Sunday 16 and 23rd at at 26 Mercer St, Queenscliff.

In conjunction with the Queenscliffe Maritime Museum and the Fort Queenscliff Museum – History at the Heads – an afternoon of fascinating short stories about events that formed the history of the area. Saturday 15 and 22 at Monohan Sports Centre.

Films at the Museum, continuous visual stories from old newsreels, films and documentaries. Shown daily at Queenscliffe Historical Museum.

Cemetery Walk – join a guide for an informative walk around this history filled regional cemetery. Sat 22 at Queenscliff Cemetery.
