National Recycling Week at Urban Upcycle

National Recycling week first started in November 1996 by Planet Ark to bring a national focus to the environmental benefits of recycling. Now in its 21st year, this established and highly regarded annual campaign continues to educate and stimulate behaviour change, by:

-Promoting kerbside, industrial and community recycling initiatives
-Giving people the tools to minimise waste and manage material resources responsibly at home, work and school.

At Urban Upcycle kids can use recycled products to make their own amazing art work.

At Urban Upcycle, it is their aim to help preserve the Earth by minimising negative environmental impact through upcycling reusable and interesting items which would otherwise be heading for landfill.

They provide you, the public, schools, kindergartens, childcare centres, artists and crafters, access to these items which have been repurposed into art and craft supplies. Through this process, they will strive to assist in educating and increasing awareness within the Geelong area, of how important it is that we all reduce, reuse, recycle and UPCYCLE.
