Pako Festa

Every year since 1983 Pako Festa has gathered together thousands of people from Geelong’s local and cultural communities, professional performers, community groups, schools, businesses, street traders and artists from all walks of life for one huge, amazing street party to celebrate our multicultural community.

“Reflections of Culture” is the theme 2018 with international cuisine from some 20 local community groups represented in food stalls at West Park and along Pakington Street
Up to 100,000 people came together in harmony to enjoy the smorgasbord of fabulous cultural food, traditional dancing, live music, the enormous, famous Pako Street Parade, great workshops, art exhibitions, craft displays, free children’s activities and an exciting program of non-stop free entertainment all day long.

Diversitat Pako Festa prides itself on being a free event, accessible to all who want to share the enriching experience of Australian multiculturalism.

All people need to bring to enjoy a great day out, is a happy heart and an open mind. Our free event program available from one of the information stalls in Pakington Street on the day, ensures you don’t miss any of the fabulous fun.

Pako Festa is a major fundraising event for Diversitat affiliated cultural communities.

This event is proudly supported by the City of Greater Geelong via Geelong Major Events Funding.
