Reconciliation In The Park 2017

‘Let’s Take The Next Step’ is the theme for the annual Reconciliation In The Park free event hosted by the Geelong One Fire Reconciliation Group and the local Aboriginal community. The 2016 Community HART award winning event, will this year honour the co-founder and Uncle too us all, David Tournier.
A tribute to Uncles’ story telling through music, art, sculpture and dance will be woven through the Park as we take those “Next Steps” towards the future.

Participate in this annual local event for Reconciliation through FREE fun activities plus a FREE BBQ. Learn about the achievements and contributions of local Aboriginal culture and history in ‘djillong’. Join in painting boomerangs, face painting, dancing, basket weaving and look at Aboriginal artefacts. There will be a great program of Aboriginal musicians.
Come along and reflect on what Reconciliation and ‘Taking The Next Steps” means to you.
