WhatToDo 5 - Kid Friendly Cafes

There’s so many nice places to head for coffee with your gal pals but when the mini you’s are tagging along you need some where that will keep them as happy as your coffee makes you… Here is our Top 5 favourite kid friendly cafes…

Café Botticelli
Where: 7 Minerva Road, Herne Hill

Perfect for a catch up on a beautiful day! The lovely yard in the back has a cute playground with chalk boards, a boat and more!! And more importantly the food is good and the coffee great!

Little Creature Brewery
Where: 221 Swanston St, Geelong VIC 3220

The sand pit and small range of toys will keep your little ones at bay while you enjoy a coffee or a cheeky bevy!

Café Moby
Where: 41 The Esplanade, Torquay VIC 3228

If you looking for somewhere in Torquay don’t look much further than the large back yard at Cafe Moby. With sandpits, playground equipment, a climbing frame and cubby house it’s kids heaven. Check out their pizza and music nights too 😉

Barwon Edge Boat House
Where: 40 Winsor Road, Newtown

Great food and coffee and a great playground area for the kids. But have to put it out there we have a love hate relationship with the distance of the play ground and our coffee… (Keep an eye out for the unsupervised)

Hello Birdie
Where: 52 Grubb Road, Ocean Grove

This place is a perfect meeting place for parent group catch ups! It’s a nice cafe with a great range of food and drinks including kids snacks, with a great play area for the kids inside but the big draw card is the back yard. It feels just like your own back yard – with heaps of toys, sandpits, a cubby house and shop to entertain children.

Plus a play centre that’s just a little different

Meerkat Manor
Where: 25 Sinclair Street, Ocean Grove

Ocean Grove’s only children’s indoor play centre and cafe. A great option for parents wishing to let the kids burn some serious energy and play on some different toys. A great indoor option for parent group catch ups
